This Ramadan, double your rewards by sharing a warm meal with your Muslim brothers and sisters in need right here at home. Bring them ease so that they can maximize their ibadah.

Narrated Aisha: I said, "O Allah's Messenger! I have two neighbours; which of them should I give a gift to?" The Prophet (SAW) said, "(Give) to the one whose door is nearer to you." (Bukhari)

Ramadan is Here

It’s time to enjoy the warm company of friends and family over hearty iftar meals, and to spend evenings in prayer and remembrance.

However, reality will be quite different for our vulnerable Muslim brothers and sisters in Canada who have little to nothing to break their fasts with.

Since 2019, there has been a 99.4% increase in food bank visits.* Many single parents, seniors, and neighbours in need face empty plates at sunset. Your iftar donation can help fill their evenings with comfort.

From our Clients

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, I could put iftar on the table and buy some Eid clothes for my children, alhamdulillah, I don't know how to appreciate each one of you but may Allah will each one of you and your family with Jannat al-Firdous. Ameen.”

Fahad's Story

Fahad was barely ten years old when his father walked out on his family, leaving behind a wife and three young sons. Overnight, their childhood disappeared.

Their mother, Salma, did not speak English, had no work permit, and was ineligible for childcare benefits. With the little government support they received, she had to choose between paying for food or rent.

Basic needs like food, clothing, and utilities became a constant worry.

Fahad’s older brother couldn’t bear to see his younger brothers hungry, so he dropped out of school to help provide for the family.

Desperate for help, Salma reached out to NZF Canada. With your support, we were able to provide the family with essentials: school clothes for the children, nutritious food, help with rent and utilities, and emotional support. Slowly, life began to feel a little more stable.

Often, Fahad would help his mother communicate with us, sometimes sharing his small dreams for the future. “I wish I had a bike,” he once wrote. While we cannot fulfill every dream, together we can make sure children like Fahad have the essentials to survive, grow, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Your Local Giving Means More than You Think

Hunger makes even simple acts of worship a struggle. Single parents, seniors, and neighbours in need often go to bed on empty stomachs, and their Ramadan nights are full of worry.

By sharing a warm meal through your local giving, you ease that burden — helping them focus on their ibadah and feel the blessings of this holy month.

Your donations will be directed to providing iftar to your neighbours. In the case of necessity, funds will be directed towards supporting eligible beneficiaries as most urgently needed.
