Amina’s Story – From Sudan to Canada
Amina left everything behind in Sudan, embarking on a dangerous journey to Canada with her 2-year-old twins, one of whom has autism and needs a special diet.
The journey was full of fear and uncertainty as they braved dark woods, unsure of what lay ahead. Even after reaching Canada, their struggles didn’t end. Amina’s son didn’t qualify for medical support, and with her husband searching for work, she stayed home to care for the children. Rent became a constant burden.
Through a local masjid, they found National Zakat Foundation, and because of your support, we were able to provide rent and food, giving them critical relief when they needed it most.
Just like Amina’s family, hundreds of evacuees from Gaza and Sudan are now facing their first winter in Canada after months of trauma. Many have arrived with nothing but the clothes on their backs, struggling to cover the cost of winter essentials.
Can you help turn this winter into a season of hope for them?
Your Zakat can provide these families with the support they need to rebuild, just as it did for Amina’s family.
Be the Ansaar of today.
