Letter from the Executive Director

Assalam Alaikum Warahmatullah,
It started as an idea to go back to one of the most basic principles; that Zakat begins at home. A seed was planted and you joined us in planting that seed for National Zakat Foundation. Today a Million dollars of Zakat has been distributedacross Canada and the real harvest awaits you in Jannah inshAllah.

Thousands of our brothers and sisters have benefited from food, shelter and the most essential of needs. Two Nisa Homes projects have blossomed where hundreds of women and children have taken shelter escaping the worst of circumstances.

Zakat is all about bringing the Izzah (honour) back into the lives of all Muslims. All of these accomplishments are all due to your belief in this cause. I want to be the first to thank you for all your support and for believing in us.

By the mercy of Allah we have now spent $1,035,371.57 as of December 2016end. Our average monthly distribution is now hovering around $40,000 per month and we expect this to rise as we grow.  We look forward to your continued support and please continue helping us in spreading the message of Zakat.
