Refugees need your help

What is happening in Syria is absolutely tragic. It is sad to see the situation on the ground in Syria and also the hardships for those who decide to leave their homes behind. We ask Allah to make their affairs easy and bring peace to the region.

As for the people who decided to leave they are like the Muhajiroon who migrated to protect themselves from persecution and came to the people of Madinah (the Ansaar). The Ansaar were the helpers who gave up so much to accommodate their incoming brothers and sisters.
So here is our Opportunity to be like the Ansaar of Madinah.
We are getting an overwhelming amount of applications from refugees since the influx and now we have surpassed $100,000 in spending on refugees in a short time. Majority of our distribution is currently supporting refugees with essential needs such as food and housing. It is our chance to show that Canadian Muslims are here to help them in their time of need.
