Do I pay Zakat on my car?
No, you do not have to pay Zakat on your car unless it is used for business purposes. If you own a car for personal use, it is not considered part of your wealth for Zakat calculations. However, if you are using the car for business, like selling cars or using it to generate income, then its value would be included in your Zakat calculation. Zakat is due on savings, investments, and business assets, not personal property like a car. Leased or loan-financed cars you don’t fully own are also not zakatable.
