Can I give Zakat to my son or daughter?
You cannot give Zakat to your son or daughter if they are financially dependent on you, as Zakat is intended for individuals outside your immediate family who are not your responsibility. Since you are obligated to provide for your children, they are not eligible to receive Zakat.
However, if your children are financially independent and meet the criteria of poverty or need, they may qualify. The key condition is that they must not be financially supported by you.
